I left my corporate life back in 2016 after my manager joked I’d be ‘publicly flogged’ for doing something that was literally just my job. I was done with having to beg for leave for my daughters birthday, of having zero creative control even though I was good at my job, and always having too much month left at the end of the money.
What started as a side-hustle turned into a multiple five-figure business with months reaching $40k in turnover. I came with zero experience and it was absolutely a total crash-course in personal brand, positioning and visibility.
By 2018, I knew I was done playing small and now I had the tools and the confidence, decided to launch a career in the one thing I’d always wanted to do - design. Thanks to my personal brand I was able to get going with a 6 month waitlist from day 1. In 2020 I expanded my expertise into brand strategy - because pretty visuals alone don’t build trust, authority or demand and I realised my clients were still leaving money on the table.
